A Word About Words

If this is your first visit to Realitycheckers.com, welcome. I'm Roland Kriewaldt (pron. "Kree-walt"), and I'm clearing a path to joy. As part of my journey, I have chosen to share my insights in the hope that they might help you clear your own path to joy.

Seeking joy requires the freedom to choose our own path. Yet what is freedom? Many of us think of it as having lots of money or power over others, yet there are many rich, powerful people who remain joyless because their minds are shackled by ignorance and fear. So ultimately, the battle for freedom and the quest for joy begins within our own minds, not at a Ferrari dealership.

Our ignorance enslaves us and keeps us from evolving. Yet we can think ourselves free, whether we are the oppressor or the oppressed. All it takes is an open, inquisitive mind, along with some trust and courage. These are assets that we are born with, yet we may lose them over time in our struggle to survive.

Our mental obstacles impede our joy. It is my hope that the insights I offer will help to remove them. In fact, if real obstacles were all that we had to overcome, then we'd be living in a much happier and safer world. Sound good? Then give my words a try.

History has proven that bloodshed won't bring peace to our world, nor will it set us free from our own private fears. Only understanding can to that. Yet to understand "them" we must first understand "us." Do you understand?

My agenda is simple: I want to tear down your mental barriers and release you from within. It's serious work for which any number of tools may be called upon. My personal favorites are logic and laughter. I'll try to stick to those themes as much as possible.

So if you've found this place by accident, look around. Perhaps this fateful encounter will enhance your life and bring you some unexpected joy. Ideas can do that.
